Even though I'm a "video guy", I've always loved the look of film. Film on television is the combination of two of my favorite things.
From those early days of tweaking those old RCA projectors and film chain cameras, to transferring 35mm negative on my Marconi telecine, I just love being a part of the process.
In the late 80s, I added film production to my video production company. I bought an Arriflex SR16 and this Marconi B3410 CCD telecine, so that we could complete film projects "in-house". As a bonus to me, I personally transferred all the film that we shot.....I really enjoyed doing it then, and that's my motivation for doing it again....now.
I can transfer your film to just about any format that you need. I don't yet have the facilities to "prep" the film for transfer, such as ultrasonically cleaning it, so that needs to be done ahead of time by a film lab if your film needs it.
When I get your film, I'll take a look at it and give it my best "one light" transfer. I don't have the latest programmable scene-by-scene color correction hardware, but I also don't charge the super high rates that this type of transfer commands, and really isn't necessary on film release prints anyway, since that was already done in the film realm. After all, an amazing amount of color correction can be done on a desktop computer these days during editing, so, for most projects, that's all the scene-by-scene correction you'll need. I think you'll be pleased with what you see.
I can handle 16mm and 35mm positive prints and 16mm and 35mm negative film. Please feel free to contact me about your project.
